DESCRIPTION

Shiina Aki is constantly being treated like a girl due to his feminine looks so he decides to move to Tokyo to attend middle school in an attempt to change himself. However what awaits him in his new home, Sunohara-sou, is the kind-hearted caretaker, Sunohara Ayaka. Along with the three female members of Aki's new middle school's student council, Yukimoto Yuzu, Yamanashi Sumire & Kazami Yuri. And so begins Aki's new life in Tokyo living with 4 girls.

If you can get past the fetishes, some of your characters are good.
Big breasted female taking care of a shota and somehow not a hentai. Those were my original thoughts starting in this show, and as typical of the shota character, from start to finish I never liked him.

Story: 6/10
It's kind of your typical Slice of Life, you're there more for the character interactions than an overall story. It has somewhat nice progression though, introducing all the characters in a timely sequence and giving them a fair spotlight.

Characters: 8/10
While at first you have fetishized characters, boobs are in your face constantly, there are shotacons who are friends with a gyaru, small girl with a flat complex, and then aggressive, controlling, brocon Sagiri (Eromanga Sensei). Then you read those comments and wonder why I put an 8 out of 10. The character development outside of the shotacons is actually phenomenal. While someone like Sumire ends up a weak link because the author couldn't think of much to add to her character, Yuzu, Yuri, the Caretaker, her sister, and even MC's sister each take the spotlight and show some great characterization in it. Maybe we could have some designs drop a few cup sizes though. Of course, there's always the protag who tries to think throughout the show that his relationship with the Caretaker is romantic and it's grating everytime it comes out of his thought bubbles.

Animation: 6/10
Obviously the previous paragraph has one gripe I had on animation, which isn't really the fault of the studio, just the original artist. The studio did some nice things with emotions and especially a very nice scene in the final episode that averages this all back out.

Sound: 8 or 9/10
I don't often notice BGM, but this show had a fairly excellent one. I'm excited to listen to it again when I make it down to my S anime in my OST project, of course, I still have to resume it (I'm only in G anime still). The composer had some really good choices for songs at many moments, especially Matsuri's arrival on the show.

Overall: 7/10
If there's anything this author managed to convey well, it's the responsibility in their characters. People like the caretaker's sister and the protagonist weren't shown as intelligently as they don't have the acknowledgement of what they're responsible for, while characters like the Caretaker and Yuzu each showed themselves very responsible and intelligent at points in the series. There was a point where I just started praising Yuzu like she was my favorite character on the show after the author reached a true understanding of how to make her character portray the intelligence she's supposed to carry. I was impressed by pieces of this series, if it's gags aren't for you, that's just what happens. If you like the side cast, then it's definitely an enjoyable show as long as... well, you can get past the fetishes the show is about.

God I wish that were me
Watching this anime, all you can think is, God I wish that were me. I wish I could live in a dorm surrounded by a loli, Not Ram, a onee x loli lesbian, and an ara ara onee chan & her gyaru sister. This is a slice of life anime that once you've watched it, you'll wonder what you were doing with your life beforehand, why weren't you watching this, because of people like you, there is no second season yet. This anime puts a new standard into what a masterpiece is.

Characters: 10/10
Lets go over the characters. You got loli class president, her character is she's insecure and short. Then you got Not Ram, she looks like Ram and is sadistic. I wish they had an anime figure of her, I would buy it, until then, I'll have to buy a figure of Ram and pretend its her. There's the Onee x Loli girl, her shtick is she wants the loli class president. Then you got Miss Sunouhara's caretaker, she's got big ones, god I wish that were me living in that dorm. Later on in the show, they introduce another character, the Gyaru sister that I'm pretty sure is a pedophile. She just wants Sunouhara's monster energy. She's like the one piece of japanese art, where the taller girl has the monster energy drink or the GTX 3080TI and is teasing the short young boy with it. God I wish that were me.

Story: 10/10
The anime is pretty much a slice of life of a not masculine boy trying to woo Miss Caretaker, who you can tell is into shotas. He gets stuck in the dorm that is primarily lived in by women (god I wish I was in that situation). They all go to school, but we don't see that stuff, cause who really cares. We just want to self insert as Sunouhara as he gets into all of his shenanigans.

Visuals: 10/10
You got the boy, you got the women, it is lewd. No nudity cause this is a christian anime.

I watch this for the plot. Miss Sunouhara's caretaker has the largest plot in the series, followed by the sister, then Not Ram, then pedo girl then the loli. Oh yeah, there's also two other girl characters that want Sunouhara when he's at the pool. God I wish that happened to me.

Opening: 10/10
I like it. It sounds nice and is pretty catchy.

Ending: 10/10
I also like this one. The opening is better though.

Lasting Impact:
After finishing this anime, you'll spiral into a depression, why isn't there anything as good. I saw a similar anime with a similar plot, it had nudity but I dropped it two episodes in cause it wasn't as good as this one. It just couldn't invoke the "God I wish that were me" feeling that Sunouhara Sou evoked. Afterwards, there is also a manga you read that can continue the story, I am in the process of reading it, but the anime is much preferred for its animation. Watch this and every single time you go "God, I wish that were me" take a shot. You'll probably overdose.
