76/100A story about flowers of hope blooming in the harshest of wintersContinue on AniListI Have Something to Tell You is a collection of interweaving stories about people who've suffered greatly, and ended up hating themselves in some way because of it, and their path towards finding happiness through their relationships with others. It's very touching story, with heart wrenching moments that I couldn't even begin to do justice to by simply describing them or the emotions they raised in me, which is all thanks to the author's curated writing style and powerful art which work hand in hand to create more than a few extremely memorable moments.
I truly think it's a great story with wonderful use of color, symbolism and great characters while also feeling very real and down to earth (apart from the last story we're present, which goes a tiny bit overboard in my opinion), however, it does have it's flaws. Mostly, I cannot overlook the fact that the author tried to develop total 8-12 (depending on how you want to count it) different stories in just 65 chapters. This causes a few of the stories to feel a bit rushed, which is not to say they failed to land (emotionally) as I read them, however, it does mean that the affected stories didn't leave me with that strong of an impression compared to the ones that were given a bit more time like the main plot of the first half of it, because they simply didn't have enough time to make me care all that much about their main characters (especially with the one related to a kiss which comes later one, seriously, that one feels way out of place (and character)). Though, I do think this is mostly a problem with only a few stories the later half of the comic, where you can also find a few plot holes, but those issues are not even close to dealbreakers for me at least.Mid 7. It's an interesting, very short (you won't find anything that feels like filler), serious story with good pacing and a captivating enough story to keep you reading till' the end.
