65/100Best starting point for new manhua readers!Continue on AniListNote: This is my first review, so I will probably come back and realize I could have written this better.
SPOILERS Plot: The story of this manhua is that of a weak boy, Yang Kai, living at a temple and his journey to the martial peak (basically becoming inconceivably overpowered). Although the power scaling does increase each arc, the story has become stagnant as yang kai has not faced any real challenges since he left his minor world. Additionally, there are almost no subthemes whatsoever so, do not expect a deep story at all. (4/10)
Character Likeability: The characters overall are quite likable, and if you like overpowered MCs, then you will end up liking Yang Kai, at least to some extent. However, as every arc introduces a bunch of new characters, you will end up forgetting a lot of characters until they are reintroduced later on. (6/10)
Character Development: Yang Kai has significant character development all throughout his time in his minor world and it is especially evident in the first few chapters when he gets the black book. His power continues to increase, but after becoming the strongest in his minor world his crafty and to an extent arrogant personality does not change too much. Additionally, as many characters only appear for a short time, the only character experiencing any real character development are Yang Kai, and his wives(to some extent). (5/10)
Manhua Publishing: The main selling point of this manhua is not the content itself, but the rate at which it is put out. Two chapters, generally short, are released a day, which keeps readers hooked to the story. Additionally, the translation of this manhua is significantly better than other manhuas like Apotheosis and Versatile Mage, making it a much nicer read. (9/10)
Art: The art is quite good and very consistent. However, this also means that many of the girls look almost the same, with very slight differences (different hair shape/hair color/hair length & different clothes). It is not that it takes away from the story at all, but it is a place where some creative variation could be shown. Additionally, there are instances where the ln describes a girl as very ugly, but the artist ends up drawing freckles on her or one or two acne, which I feel doesn't represent the character as described. (7/10)
Recommendation: Overall, I would recommend this to anyone first trying out manhua, as it is quite consistent and decently good. Additionally, most manhua has MCs with similar personalities, who are also overpowered. As it has a decent translation, it is also more appealing for those that want to try out manhua.

75/100Amazingly mediocre for so long that it becomes goodContinue on AniList*This is my first review and probably wont be very good, well paced or relevant
**Also, english isn't my first language, so there will probably be a mistake or two
INCLUDES SPOILERS
So, what is Martial Peak about?
Put simply, it's about power creeping and an likeable overpowered MC.
Or, in more words, it's about Yang Kai, a weak boy by his starting world metrics, who by chance or luck gets hold of multiple significant opportunities to become stronger, be it by acquiring some OP artifact (like the Ancient Black Book) or knowledge through some hidden inheritance (like some of his skill, such as Alchemy or Space and Time Principles control).
Most of the characters are incredibly shallow and one dimensional, except some rare chars used as plot devices and even rarer relevant recurring chars, such as his wives or some of his elders, since the power creeping is so fast, most characters from an story arc become rapidly irrelevant in the next one.
The art isn't jaw dropping at any point, but is equally not eye burning at any point. It somehow manages to stay consistent for most of the manhua, which is amazing considering we get 2~4 new chapters every. single. day. while most japanese manga can barely release one a week, this is a feat of its own.
As for what kept me reading it, it's mostly about frequency and consistency. Even if it's never a 10/10, after a while reading a 6/10 story, you get invested enough that it doesn't really matter. You just want to keep reading and see where the story brings the characters you've grown to like, even if it's kinda prediictable and mostly detached from previous arcs.
Overall, it's a good enough manhua, specially if you're just getting into the space, it's by no means an original story, but it's better than most of the similar ones.
Should you read it?
Well, do you already like cultivation manhua?
Do you want to like cultivation manhua? If so, yeah, give it a go, there isn't much to dislike here.
Else, still give it a chance, like, 80 chapters should be enough to give you a basis on what the story is all about, if you like that, you'll probably end up liking the rest, since it's more or less the same.
__Plot__: 6/10 __Art__: 7/10 __Characters__: 7/10 __Readability__: 9/10 # __Overall__: 7.5/10
Other recommendations If you have already read Martial Peak and is looking for something like it but not the dogshit carbon copies that shamelessly rip off every other cultivation manhua out there, here is a list of some of what i like, and might write reviews later.
- Apotheosis (7.5/10)
Better art, better story, worse pacing, less likeable characters, has a lot more plot armor - Tales of Demons and Gods (8/10)
Much much better story, more likeable and relevant characters, similar art quality but with some more memorable moments, less interesting world setting IMO - Douluo Dalu (7/10)
Not quite the same genre, but similar in more than one way, art starts off better but gets increasingly convoluted, story is way WAY WAY better, more likeable and relevant characters, better world setting IMO, doesn't suffer from constant power creeping. Releases once a month, maybe, not always, constantly in hiatus, publisher gives more attention to it's successors for some god unknown reason, since those also refer to this story, in some points that haven't been reached just yet
- Apotheosis (7.5/10)
