My thoughts on Solo Leveling

This is just my thoughts of the manhwa Solo Leveling. I think its an extremely good story that just leaves you wanting for more after each chapter. I can't get enough of it. The characters are well made and have personalities to fall in love with. The way they portray the antagonists is really amazing. Like wow how scary and strong they can look, you just know immediately that the fight will be outstanding. The fights are really interesting and the author balance action with fun comedy really well. You understand the main characters goals how he strives to get stronger, the way he looks at the world and how he uses the powers he posses. I just love it! And its really something anyone that likes action and fantasy should pick up! You will not get disappointed.

The way the main character evolves from this cute little thing to this hot badass man is so so so astounding. It's not something I've seen before, the story has really got its own take and way to unfold and this wold with hunters that go through dungeons is not something that that author has been used by its self but this way to portray and write it is not something I've seen before. Not in this way, it might be a bit similar to the gamer but there are clear differences.

Sung Jin-Woo is really an interesting character, and I can understand the pain he has gone through. The way he wants to get enough money for his mother and that he wants his sister to be able to continue studying and that he mostly get stronger for them, and I really am wondering what it is he is losing as he gets stronger. He is still considerate and kind even if he has had to kill people.

His job that he got was something really cool too and the comedy that it brings is really delightful who could think a shadow could sigh and look disappointed, talking about chapter 54 that currently is the last one to be posted where I'm reading it. Hope I can expect the next chapter soon as I said this manhwa is really something to pick up. The 54 chapters are so enjoyable and I really loved them. Might have read it a bit too quickly but when you find something so good you really can't hold yourself back and just catch up right? I really love how the author makes the end of each chapter a little cliffhanger especially in the middle of a fight. Each chapter just ends at the perfect time to make you want to read the next chapter and eagerly await it if it's not out.

You can get the feeling of people hating you because U r weak but you get stronger with those pain
This is what I think of solo leveling. The story is extremely impressive. It's really something very heart touching. specially if it matches with your own life. The main character start from very weak. Can't do anything much, people here and there mock him because he's weak. But then he finally got the strength he needed. The art style of this manga is also nice. Also i like the fact that are some funny scene in this manga even in some serious situation. I really like the main character development. He's not too arrogant. Like the fact he wears a hoodie when he fight's that makes him look more powerful. And the other character besides main are also well written. And they are also funny. I like the art style when he fights his eyes glows and half of his face get's black.

Note That i haven't read solo leveling completely but so far i can say that this manga is well balanced. I would also say that. This is the best manga I ever read in my life so far - according to me. When the anime comes out i don't know if it would be my no 1 anime. cause mine number one anime is dragon ball. How ever we should wait and see when the anime comes out. I can't wait to see the anime of this manga. Maybe it will be in Next year 2021 probably.

Every chapter of this manga is drawn with surprises. And the main character levels up every time he fights is a great concept. Also the story is not that complicated like some manga have. It's easy to understand.

But there are some things i don't like. Not many. I didn't like some behavior of the main character at some cases. But it's not that big issue. And i know that is not a thing people would care about it. But hey it's my review.

The fighting also was very detailed and well drawn. I like how he fights with his dagger. The art and the color combination is perfect. Other character roles are also shown in a balanced way. And one of things that the anime have almost no lewd scene. And I really appreciate that. Because most of manga and animes these days have many lewd scene. Many people would like that or think it's normal. But for me it's very disgusting.
I like character who gets from insult from people because he's not good enough and through that pain he becomes more stronger.

So this manga was great from almost every aspect. I hope you also have some positive view towards solo leveling, So that was my review.

A meathead series with a boring MC.
"Solo Leveling", what seemed like an underdog story has really left me disappointed. At first glance, the whole reason I started was to expect him to grow as a character slowly and PROVE himself. However, this is not what I got at all.

Forget the underdog story, forget the meaningful process of character growth and development, the story tries it's hardest to make the character look like he's "struggling", but it's pretty difficult when the MC has the same emotionless, edgy facial expression on every panel.

It's just extremely confusing and frustrating how this supposed "underdog" MC gets so strong so damn fast. He is literally flawless, he feels completely void of humor and emotion and is just a living, breathing, OP, issekai MC. These 3 paragraphs alone are all about my number 1 reason as to why I dislike this Manhwa so much. The main character just really sucks.

The only thing that doesn't give this a "1" for me is the art. Absolutely amazing art that made me stomach through the horrible MC writing and directionless plot that could've been finished if the MC just didn't hide his power. The art was literally eye-candy, filled with clean line-work, shading and colours.

Anyways, if you don't like edgy, power-fantasy MCs, don't read this. If you were expecting the slow-climb and rise of an underdog, go read "Hardcore Leveling Warrior" (technically a "re-rising" here), or read Tales of Demons and Gods instead. The MC might be OP in HCLW and ToDaG, but they have limitations and a bunch of situations where they can't just "clean up" the enemy as easy as Sung Jin-woo.

In the end, it's a meathead series with a boring, over-powered MC. No real world-building, no good expansion, no useful cast members. It kind of irks me that this series was compared to Hunter x Hunter. Maybe it gets better, maybe it doesn't. If it does, then it's a pacing issue. It feels super repetitive, and the power scaling has no sense of balance. I've also heard that the light novel had a terrible ending, which makes me even more discouraged to keep reading.

Personally, a slight improvement in my opinion would just be to have enemies in the same level of our MC. A rival, or literally anything. Just make him lose once for god's sake, there is 0 tension.
