  A full CG Anime that was ruined, for not being full CG, but for everything else.

  **Night Head 2041** https://anilist.co/anime/125868/NIGHT-HEAD-2041/ Summer 2021 been kinda a OK season for me from the very beginning. But when I saw the first episode for this Anime, I was instantly hooked after that cliffhanger at the end of episode 1. I even rewatched episode 1, just to remember that feel again. Now that it ended, just wanted share some thoughts of how this went from a kinda promising anime to being a mediocre one. Synopsis (copied from AL) >The story follows the Kirihara brothers who from a young age were incarcerated in a secure scientific facility due to their supernatural powers, having escaped after the barrier that was preventing them malfunctions. The story also follows the Kuroki brothers who are trying to chase the Kirihara brothers. And trailer for this Anime.

  Now, as you might've somewhat expectations for this, let's get into it! What I expected from this, is a sci-fi/drama anime with some good mix of drama & supernatural abilities. What I got is a; bland plot driven anime with some great production, which I didn't expected.

  #(+) points - ##**Background Art** Backgrounds in anime are generally forgettable. Even though, someone must work on drawing those backgrounds, it mostly goes unnoticed. But this Anime had one of the best Background Art, I've seen in any Anime. You see those! This Anime truly shines in the background art. I'm not lying when I say I watched every episode just for the small moments where they elevate a scene with almost breath-taking backgrounds. Every episode have atleast one such moment. ##**Animation** For a full 3D Anime, this Anime does pretty great job, at what it's trying to do. Now to make you understand what I'm trying to say; If you've seen a decent amount of Anime, you must've realized that; **Most scenes are just still images**. Most of the scenes in many Anime feel so stiff, and barely have any moment. This Anime adds some effort and add those small details, like small eye moments while talking, character designs and such. Even in some of the scenes where you'll have some action, it adds so much detail, it felt very satisfying just to watch these scenes.

  #(-) points It's pretty much everything other than (+) points. YES! The Anime barely had anything else to back it up, except for those two. - Even with so much detail and care put into character design & making, there personalities feel so bland & lifeless and completely takes out that feel the animation is trying to make. It's just a pity for something that looks so good. - The plot feels so random & the Anime seem to just went with the flow and tried to make something out of it with all the religion, spiritualism and all. - Characters, who have a major incident seems to appear out of nowhere, which is unexpected but not in a good way. And characters with little to nothing have to plot, have a unnecessary amount of screentime. - And to top it off, it also had a few plot holes. One would be; *Spoiler for episode 11* How the hell did Kimie used her mind-control on Daisuke when every psychic ability negates around him? Ans even him, having that ability felt so out of the place and he became a cheap, **I'm the final boss** kinda character at the end. Not that he's interesting from start or anyway. *Might be Spoilers* And the whole I've a role to play concept felt like a cheap trick to move the plot, which used so repeatedly that it was annoying at the end. The two worlds thing was poorly executed and didn't got explored well, tbh. We've 0 idea what happens in the other world. They separated only based on vague ideas like **Role to Play** and such.

  Now, to sum it up. **This is an Anime with some great production that was wasted with a rather mediocre plot. You can still watch & enjoy it tho. As I said earlier, I watched this literally for the background art work, nothing else & still enjoyed it. But if you're expecting anything related to plot, there's a high chance you'll end up disappointed.**
