I hope that this just helps you get an idea of what the manhwa I am talking about is like and form a basic and general consensus on it. The ratings I give anime and manga are mostly my personal overall enjoyment. This review may contain some spoilers, but all of them will be hidden using the spoiler tag. There will be some images sourced from the manhwa, but they should not contain any major spoilers. TL;DR will be at the bottom.

Introduction

Him & Him & Him is a manhwa written by Lee Nae Ri and illustrated by Byun Lee Song depicts the story of Yoo Se-Ah, who is bored with her life and so finds herself in a bar in hopes of entertaining herself. There, she is approached by two men... only to offer her a foursome.

Plot and Romance

How things start can be a little surprise. A threesome is one thing... but a foursome? That is something new. The manhwa is pretty quick to get started, first showing us...

Sex. Well, such a thing is to be expected of something that is classified as a hentai. If we do not count the prologue chapter, then the manhwa begins with the main characters engaging in sexual intercourse. For readers who came for that, then they got what they wanted immediately. It could be considered abrupt, then again, it is a hentai.

Now as to what actually happens in the manhwa, it can usually be boiled down to intercourse or the relationships between Yoo See-Ah and the three other men (which usually brings up sex related dialogue). So, in the end, a lot of it is coitus related. Despite that, it did not feel saturated with it. The manhwa had enough breaks in between to keep it from being to repetitive. These breaks often included the connections between the four main characters. Whilst a large amount of what they talked about was sexual, there were moments where it was not. I found this to be welcome, it helped prevent me from being worn out reading this manhwa. Moreover, the plot remains easy to follow and thus makes for an easier reading experience.

This manhwa is fairly short, but it still manages to pace itself well. I never felt that it was overly rushed, and things happened before they should have. Sure, it is quick to get into the copulation, but that is the aim of this manhwa after all. Furthermore, there were some nice plot developments throughout the manhwa's plot. There were some reveals and minor twists later on and for a hentai, that was pretty good. They were mildly satisfying.

This manhwa actually has some romance intertwined into it, and no, not just a romantic relationship just for sex. It actually does develop into a proper romantic relationship if you can call it that. Their bond grows throughout the manhwa, and it blossoms into something more. The intercourse plays a role in their growth.

Characters

This manhwa has four main characters and no one else of interest. The small number of characters allows the manhwa to focus on the limelight of the show, and not waste idle time on others.
__The story is presented from the perspective of Yoo See-Ah, the story's protagonist.__
Luckily as a hentai protagonist, she has some personality and is not just some bland character. I suppose you can call her a simple character, but that is not bad in this case. It allows the reader to relate to her more easily and perhaps do a self-insert, which some readers would like to do. She is not annoying or anything like that, so she is not a pain to read.
__Here are two of the three men Yoo See-Ah has sexual intercourse with. Seo Han-Kyeol on the left and Seo Han-Kyeom on the right.__
It is clear just by looking at this two they were designed with a specific audience in mind. Seo Han-Kyeol is more of a serious man compared to Seo Han-Kyeom. Seo Han-Kyeol also likes to be a bit more dominating during sex. On the other hand, Seo Han-Kyeom is more of a playful and laid-back man. Despite being closely related they are quite different in their personalities. They were not unlikable so that was a plus.
__The final character, Lee Do-Ah, is the uncle to Seo Han-Kyeol and Seo Han-Kyeom.__
Lee Do-Ah is a man who clearly cares about women, quick to reprimand his cousins when he suspects that Yoo See-Ah was dragged into this without consent. His caring nature also carries onto when he has intercourse. Such a character is not that common in these kinds of works, so it was nice to see. It made him pretty easy to like. I cannot really think of much else to say about him.

The relationship between these characters was able to be captivating and engaging at times. Furthermore, all of these characters had development of some kind. The development was not as significant as something you would see in a romance manga/manhwa, but nevertheless it was still present. It was nice to see something like that in an adult piece of media.

I felt that these characters were well crafted for this manhwa, effectively complimenting the aim of the manhwa and they were able to carry out the narrative and sexual content in a adequate manner.

Sexual content

As expected, there is a lot of sex in this manhwa, so it would not be fair to skip discussing it. That said, I am not particularly the best person to analyse this kind of content as I usually do not expose myself to this kind of stuff nor do I really like it, but I will give it a shot.

A great positive point about all of the sex in the manhwa is that it is all consensual. No assault or rape of that kind. This in turn makes it all much easier to stomach and get through.

With a lot of sex, huge chunks of the manhwa are taken up by it. As such, it is important to consider whether the implementation of it helped ease the reader into it and enjoy it. As I was reading it, I felt that the execution of the intercourse scenes was satisfactory. They were not thrust into the plot for the most bizarre reason, most of the time they just did it because they just wanted to. A simple reason, but it is easy to get behind. I was not endlessly bombarded with intercourse scenes but there are still enough to satisfy the target audience.

There are not really that many kinks that I can think of catered to in this manhwa other than it being mostly a threesome or a foursome. Most of the sex acts they get up to are not that out of the ordinary. A big premise of this manhwa is that it is a foursome. Despite that, there are not many moments where all four characters are engaging in sexual intercourse at the same time. More often than not, it is a threesome. So if you were solely looking for a foursome, then you may be a little disappointed. That is not to say that there are not foursomes (sex scenes where all four characters are actively participating) in this manhwa, there are a few here and there. I suppose it is hard to draw four people having sexual intercourse at once.

Each of the scenes had similar acts going on in them, but it managed to vary itself up in between each to make it feel less repetitive. As for the attention to detail in these scenes, well, it is hard to say. I cannot say I know much about that. But I guess there was enough detail in the art and the illustrations of their acts to uplift the scenes. The art did a good job in handling the depiction of the scenes.

Overall, I think readers who came for the sex would be satisfied with what this manhwa has to offer.

Art

This manhwa has a more mature art style as compared to other manhwa I have read, which makes sense given the target audience. I feel that manhwa tends to focus on the characters more instead of the setting, and in this case it was no issue. The characters were drawn well enough to draw my eye to them and I did not have to worry much about the setting.

Conclusion and TL;DR

For a hentai, this was not actually bad. It was not hard to read and even as someone who was not particularly reading it for the sex, it was not a bad read. It was even mildly enjoyable. This manhwa knew what it wanted to do, and it did it well. I picked this up seeing that it was a hentai targeted towards women. I was curious as to what that kind of adult content would be like, so I ended up reading it. In the end it gave me some valuable insight and on top of that it was not a bad read. As this manhwa is mainly catered towards women, it would be easier to recommend it to them. For readers who want a sexual manhwa that is not that long, and they do not mind a foursome, I could see this being a good read. In summary:
- A sex focused plot with enough breaks in between to make it less tiring to read.
- Outside of sex, the plot has enough substance to keep the story going with adequate developments in it and good pacing too.
- The characters are well crafted for the story, fitting their roles well and being likable enough.
- The characters are made for their target audience.
- All of the sex is consensual making it easier to read.
- The main premise of the sex is the fact it is a threesome or a foursome, which would cater to those who have a liking of that.
- The mature art style illustrates the characters and sex scenes well.
That brings us to the end of the review. This is the first time I have ever reviewed a hentai, so I may have some shortcomings in this review. It was something new, but an interesting experience. EDIT: Sometime after writing this review six side story chapters were released which marked the end for the series. The side stories added some more fanservice and story after the ending of the main story, most of it concerning Yoo See-Ah's pregnancy. There is not much I can say about it other than fans of the series would most likely be pleased with the addition of the new chapters.
