80/100A simple in scope, but good OP MC powerfantasy with great comedy and art style.Continue on AniListThe manhwa throws you into the action right at the beginning and never bores you with exposition even at the very start. It's basically Nano Machine but much, much simpler and hyper focused on the cool, edgy OP MC and him fighting people throughout the world, slowly gaining more factions and people to rule over.
The art and art style are great, the character design is great, the fights and situations at hand are good and you can tell that this manhwa was made by someone, for someone, who likes everything about OP self-insert main characters who simply will dominate everyone they fight, before moving on to their next goal of who do they need to beat.
At the same time, this is the only real problem I could see and mention, since a solid amount of people cry about "no stakes" whenever the MC isn't afraid of women, embarrassing, weak and overall someone who could barely be even called a protagonist of his own story. So if you in any capacity can't just enjoy cool fights and characters and need the "high stakes" story I mentioned (which mostly boils down to random characters dying for emotional suffer porn (Demon Slayer) or having extreme things happen to characters that later on have 0 effect on the story (Made in Abyss)), this manhwa definitely isn't for you and there is no reason to read it given the entire thing is almost fan service to those who enjoy such things. It's also important to mention that despite it being such a simpler story that it's still very well made regardless, in my opinion one of the top 3 within the genre.
A few other things I would mention is that the humour here is actually really good, facial expressions and situations at hand, more often than not, actually made me smirk almost as many times as I was satisfied after a good OP fighting scene.
I also hope we will have more side character development and perhaps some romance later on as it was insinuated a couple of times at the beginning, but given that only 50 chapters are out for now we definitely will have the time for all of that. All in all, if you like OP, edgy, cool and mad MCs fighting and killing bad people in satisfying ways while conquering the world, this is definitely going to be an enjoyable read for you.
Some other manhwa I would also recommend as a must read if you already did enjoy this one, in order of importance and similarity I would give them compared to this:
- The Legend of the Northern Blade - One of the best, if not the best, story within this genre. Very high quality in every aspect.
- Nano Machine - The most similar to this one. It has one of the best MC improvement journeys and is much more complex.
- Heavenly Demon Reborn! - The one with the highest focus on MC going from zero to hero specifically within the hierarchies of the martial world within the story.
There are others of course, but these ones are guaranteed non-mediocre.
