Taro is a dog lover who is overworked at a black company. One day, Taro got hit by a truck while trying to save a wolf-like creature that was about to get run over, and loses his life in the process. Taro wakes up in another world, and the Goddess gives him the right to be reborn as Fenrir, the strongest spiritual beast, with the power of a god.
However, due to the whims of the Goddess, Taro is transformed into a cute (but powerful) creature that is "Fenrir" on the inside but "Shiba Inu" on the outside. He is sent to a humble princess who prayed to Fenrir, the divine wolf, believing him to be the messenger of salvation.
