Chick with Dicks? Hell yeahContinue on AniListFuta-bu, a club of futanari high school girls fucking each other, you will hate yourself for watching this show but at the same time you will be glad you did. Out of the many hentai I have watched this series takes the cake as being one of the most rewatchable with scenes that did not take up a whole episode's runtime and was engaging to the audience.
Story - 8 The show does not have much of a plot and it is more of a Slice of Life style show with several plots going on at the same time per episode similarly to how yonkoma anime adaptations are structured. The mini-plots themselves are amusing and the comedic beats hit more times than not. Together with how the character's are portrayed as over-exaggerated tropes, undercutting the situation with humor works perfectly.
Art - 8 The artstyle is given an average score of 7 as it is enjoyable enough and the softer style compliments the lighthearted tone of the show but really there is not much to say about it. Basically it is not something the viewer will take too much note of but it is there and doesn't hinder the show in anyway.
Sound - 7 Similarly to the artstyle, the sound is average, the voice actors did an excellent job and the performances never went so over the top as to take the viewer out of the experience. One point to note is that the show has a pleasant opening song that introduces the characters in character slides at the start of the episode and for a hentai having an opening song that is enjoyable to boot gives it an above average standing overall
Characters - 8 Where I would love to give the show credit most is with the characters. The overplayed tropes that the characters embody compliments the comedic tones of the show very well and helps the comedy flow well throughout an episode. Although mainly the characters are basically caricatures of certain tropes it must also be said that we usually see the character's personality develop throughout an episode, usually through intercourse, where we see a new level of depth to the character. As mentioned at the start I would love to give this section a higher grade but the introduction character slides break the 'show, don't tell' rule in storytelling and I feel that the show suffers from this misstep and could have avoided it all together and the character quirks would still have come across loud and clear.
Overall the uniqueness of the show's concept as well as the execution make for an excellent show to watch and although some may find futanari grotesque, for fans or those who do not mind the weird twists in hentai will definitely enjoy this show for it's entertainment value and mostly be engaged throughout the show. The show starts strong and finishes strong in the first season and the further character development in the second season really strengthens the show's foundation

The holy grail of futanari goodnessContinue on AniListNote: This is a review of the series, not just the first OVA. Girls all wanna have fun. Especially ones with dicks so massive that they could fuck a girl's ass to their mouth through hentai biology logic. What's not to like? Futabu has all those things in one great package, no pun intended.
Futabu has become a Futanari classic that ushered in a Futa Renaissance, making the world a much better place. Why is this the case? Because before Futabu, you didn't have hentai around futanari as its leading focused fetish. You had Bible Black being the biggest series out of all that had lots of scenes involving futanari, but that wasn't always its biggest draw for many fans. Futanari was treated as more of an afterthought whenever they were featured in an OVA. Then fast-forward to 2014, and we get Futabu: A hentai featuring an all-girl cast with humongous dicks having fun in various sexual escapades that they get themselves into. It was a breath of fresh air for those feeling a bit tired of the mediocrity of new hentai that was cropping up around this time.
In an industry that was big on writing sexual situations that involved making girls feel vulnerable and get raped, it was exciting to see the exact opposite from a studio like White Bear. Not to say that that type of NTR or rape fantasy hentai isn't always welcomed (and to a degree, it's still pretty prevalent today), but at that point, it got jarring and boring for those of us that followed new OVAs coming out at a monthly basis.
From the first sex scene, I knew I would be hooked by Futabu's excellent art style and animation. It flows very well with how the girls give fellatio to one another despite the mosaic censorship that obfuscates the dicks. Sitting on the Characters Designer chair is the legendary Yoshiten, who has been involved in undisputed classics such as Bible Black, Boku no Pico (yeah, really), Star Jewel, and Otokonoko Delivery. These and Futabu are the very reason why he is well-regarded. His attention to detail on how characters look from the line drawings and color saturation melds well with the original creator's vision from doujin formats. If you give him a high enough budget, his creations will guarantee anyone to bust a nut at any given moment.
Typically in hentai, the designs take away the characters' personalities, whether they're the males or females, because writers usually don't put in the effort to make them at the very least charming to listen to besides their moans of pleasure. But in ones like Futabu, they give a lot of funny and likable dialogue that makes them memorable besides their sex scenes. Akane-chan becomes a good relatable character as she is the one who joins the club despite not having a dick herself. She is how we would react if we were put into that situation, at least the ones like me who love dickgirls so much. The other girls all have unique personality traits that make them stand out. You have the upstanding senpai figure (Sumika-san), the dark-skinned tomboy (Aya-tan), the hyper-sexually active girl (Ai-chan), and Mao-chan being the tsundere-lite loli with the biggest dick out of all the girls.
In the 2nd season, we are joined by a couple of new girls to spice up the intensity of dick girl action. We have the first episode involving the girls going to an onsen to relax, owned by a woman who turns out to be another sexy futa. The scene involving her and Sumika-san is an all-time favorite hentai scene for me, 2nd only to what comes in the next episode. We have a hilarious plot involving a dark-skinned foreign exchange student from America taking the girls hostage, or else she'll leak their private futa photos onto the web. This girl, named Ellen-chan, is one of my favorite hentai characters. Her hilarious attempts at English and her delicious-looking uncircumcised dick made her a delightful sight to see while being hopelessly adorable at the same time. This episode alone would rank on my all-time favorite episode of any hentai ever. And I don't make those statements lightly, my friend.
However, if we talk about season 2, I would have to address the next season called Futabu Mix: Futanari World. This season, which was not being done by the same studio, White Bear, was put into the hands of everyone's favorite hentai studio (not), Queen Bee. As one might expect, this season is the black sheep of the series. No one even counts it as in the same league as the previous two seasons. Although I would say that compared to Queen Bee's other botched animated schlock, Futabu Mix is easily their most tolerable release. There are still some funny scenes involving our favorite girls. Then it suddenly starts to veer off and go on other hentai stories not involving the Futa Club and becomes a big mess after all that. It seemed like Queen Bee saw the popularity Futabu had and tried to cash in on the hype while simultaneously just giving up on it halfway through.
Despite that big fart of a final season, I would not consider that one to be a big hit on the Futabu legacy. That shows how amazing the first two seasons were. It is one of those hentai shows you could watch and fap repeatedly and not get tired of. Ten years could go by, and I could still see myself popping this up on my computer and fap away to my heart's content when I'm in my futanari mindset, almost all the time!

It's hard to underscore the cultural impact of Futabu, not speaking to the whole culture of anime, manga and yes, hentai fandom as a whole, because nobody has that power. But Futanari as a concept, as a genre, as a gender, and Futabu as a manga, as an anime and as a cultural phenomenon remains unparalleled - even if for you its just a meme or a joke or a passing fad. What should have done for the world of anime that 'Monster Musume' did for monster girls, Futabu could have done for futanari girls were the world in such a place to accept such a wild kink on the mainstream. They weren't and so here we are with 'Futabu!' the premiere, unmatched specimen of futanari hentai being relegated to the memories of perverts who remember a time before soulless Overwatch porn parodies and the like. Sure the animation is cheap and stilted at times (it's a hentai after all!) but the commitment to its theme is rock solid, the imagination is impeccable, its soul is well intact and the world it creates is just one you want to be a part of - be it on the giving or receiving end.
Futabu! Final Score decision:
Character Design: 92/100 - these girls might not be ground-breaking but even completely naked and filled with cum they're memorable from beginning to end.
Art Style: 90/100 - Its not perfect but its damn near close, its "cute" but matter-of-fact, its the definition of serviceable but still undeniably sexy. There's all the detail you need without going overboard. Some may call it cheap, but I call it efficient.
Storyline: 91/100 - Call it trite, call it predictable, but the very simple idea of a new recruit to a well-established club is pretty intoxicating. And as for the second episode, taking established character tropes and spinning them into an episode length narrative is exactly as amazing as it should be.
Voice Acting (And Sound Design): 88/100 - sploodge.MP4
Eroticism: 95/100 - I was hard the whole way through these two episodes, I mean if you want more of a ringing endorsement I can't think of anything better. If you're not sure if you'll like it by now you're in the wrong place!
Closing thoughts and final recommendation:Its weird to talk about hentai in any kind of critical or academic form, but then again that's the entire point of making this account... Futabu is something of an anomaly, inexplicably popular given its overall theme but neither consistent enough to cause mainstream interest nor niche enough to remain something unique or undiscovered amongst the hentai community. Chicks with big f**ing dicks, that's hot and that's where my smooth brain review ends. But there's a lot more going on with regard to gender roles and sexuality and notions of consent and coercion. Then again it's just cute girls with big dicks and lots of cum, so who am I to overanalyse?!
