DESCRIPTION

Complex yet awfully engaging with authentic portrayel of psychological trauma
Acid town is nothing short of a twisted, dark tale with the themes of karma, love,revenge,sexual assault,trauma and much more.

It follows the motivations of different characters connected to the death of one person and how the conspracies which lead to his death are unfold. Not to mention the role of those conspracies in the lives of the main characters and how that depicts their fate as a whole. In short, Its an emotional yet an epic ride.

The main story begins before the birth of the main characters and the author tries her best to potray the simple human psychology in a beautiful manner. It shows how omninous simple emotions can be....How the things a person literally gives no shit about can be a huge deal for a different individual. SInce the "revenge" in the manga begins due to the neglectful and selfish nature of several characters as a whole which is also one of the charms of the series.
The revenge is only one part of the story and is not typical to say the least. Like the antagonists did this so protagonist will do that and something miraculously makes that happen even with all the odds against the main characters.

The characters are written extremely well . Most of them are morally grey and all of them feel human and realistic.
The best part of the manga however are the relationships between the characters. All of them are carefully crafted with great care. Furthermore The interactions between characters serve the main purpose of the plot(Which is a spoiler) and play a huge role in the character development of several characters. They feel real in constrast to the forced interactions in most stories in general.
And now comes the romance which isnt really the main part of the series but also happens to be one of its charms

Its builts slowly and realistically and doesnt distract the main plot line at the same time
The artstyle is great to say the least and improves along the story. Not to mention it is able to potray the emotions in a very good manner as well.

In a nutshell Acid town is a must read if you are a sucker for character driven stories, great character interactions, mafia and if you are looking for something different yet engaging at the same time.
I cant emphasize enough how great this manga actually is and how under the radar it has been at the same time.
I cant really say anything negative about it, apart from the fact that it can be a bit convulted at times. So some viewers might lose interest in the middle however, its more of preference thing in that regard since it wasnt really a problem in my case.
