67/100Characters, Themes, story, Forced scened and endingContinue on AniListAne Doki Review COMEDY AND ROMANCE At first, I didn’t really like the comedy parts, but over time, they started to get better. So, it definitely has an above-average level of comedy.Even though the comedy leans a lot toward ecchi, it manages to be funny from time to time. The ecchi parts are not bad either.
Romance: There’s not exactly a singular focus on romance, but it's more harems-like. The main character eventually figures out who he truly loves, and this creates a romance. The protagonist has something going on with each girl: fun, romantic, or ecchi moments, but beyond that, the protagonist questions concepts like “What does it mean to be in love?” I think the general romance theme is handled in a different and nice way.
CHARACTERS ____NATSUKI____ Without a doubt, the most fun and attractive character in the series. She carries the manga. I was expecting a little more detailed backstory. Some parts made me think she was a character who would want to avoid adult responsibilities and instead live a carefree, childlike life. Because She said once "Being an adult comes with responsibilities."
Her dialogues give off that feeling. There wasn't a deep dive into her past. Kouta was looking at pictures in her room, and there was an image of her being sad, but why was she like that? I would have wanted more details on her emotions, but still, she’s the best character in the series.__At first, he’s a character who wants to “grow up” and be an adult, thinking that being an adult means things like swimming, fighting, or being tall. This theme was frequently mentioned, but it was discarded right after the beach chapter.__ __In the beach episode, he learns to swim (partially) and saves Kanade. This could have marked the completion of his development in terms of “growing up,” but it wasn’t portrayed as a resolved issue for him, and it seemed like he still wanted to “continue growing.”__ __If this had been shown: İt could have created a nice parallel between Kouta and Natsuki. Kouta is a character who wants to grow up, while Natsuki is one who wants to avoid adulthood and live like a child. Their dialogues could have made the connection more meaningful. This could have worked, but İt didn’t do it.__ __Kouta’s True Love: I think Kouta’s journey in figuring out who he truly loves was really well done. His interactions with Kanade, Natsuki, and Chiaki were well-handled in his journey to find “true love.” The theme well-handled with the character. The dialogues like “Why do I love Natsuki? Is it because she’s sexy?” and “What is love?” were interesting. It wasn’t deeply explored or developed due to the comedy-romance tone and the shortness of the series, but still, it was a nice development in this tone.__ __Supporting Characters: Kanade and Chiaki were really nice characters. Both were fun and had great dynamics with the main character. The other supporting characters didn’t add much.__ #____
STORY
____ __I really liked the overall story. Its themes, comedy, and romance were good, but there were some obvious flaws.__ __Forced Plot Development: In some parts, events happen so suddenly and disrupt the flow of the story that it feels really absurd. While one event is happening, suddenly, important plot points start emerging, and it gets bored.__ __For example, Haruki's character: His goal was to marry Natsuki off to a rich businessman. He develops the dynamic between Natsuki and Kouta and reveals Natsuki's past, which I liked. What I didn’t like: His introduction was too sudden, and his motivation was very absurd in my opinion. Forcing his sister into something she doesn’t want and acting like it’s normal was a bit ridiculous. The dialogues felt like there was no weight to them. Their relationships, pasts, or Haruki’s motivations were very superficial. The hotel scene was also forced: Kouta sees some pictures, tells Haruki that what he’s doing is wrong, and then confesses his love for Natsuki. This felt rushed. The way Kouta finally understood his feelings to natsuki felt forced, and afterward, Chiaki calling her dad and she ask arranging for a businessman to sponsor Haruki and Haruki disappearing from the story felt rushed. The arc ended very quickly. The past story, Haruki's motivation, his relationship with his sister, and Kouta’s acceptance of love were all handled too quickly, which made it feel incomplete. Additionally, the part where his father’s sudden departure or leaving seemed forced too.__ __I also thought Natsuki’s mystery was pretty ordinary. I was expecting it to be more detailed and interesting.__ __The plot was good. Even though each episode has something different, they still felt connected was good. The dialogues, jokes, and events seemed to build on one another. The dynamics were also good. Kouta’s relationships with Natsuki and Kanade were solid, and the character development along with their contributions to the main story were also strong. Art Style: I really liked it. The drawings were beautiful, and the art style was very similar to Noragami. In fact, the character, natsuki is very similar to hiori from noragami.__ #____
FINAL VERDICT____
__When Kouta had to undergo the transplant and realized his life was about to change, he fell into a slump, which was portrayed really well. His desire to run away from home was also great. The parallel between that and Natsuki was nice. The scene with Kanade in the park was also really good. Overall, the portrayal of the character’s mental state was spot on. But the pace was clearly too fast. The episodes could have been a bit longer. More time could have been spent on the characters' dialogues, relationships, or Kouta's feelings. But still, this was one of the parts of the series I liked the most.__
#
____Kouta's confession____

__It was a great scene, and it worked well as a foundation, but the rushed tone of the last scenes made it lose its impact for me a bit. Although I liked some aspects of this part of the series, I didn’t like how Kouta’s confession and his character development were handled with his father’s sudden departure. This could have been done in a different way to make the ending better.__
__Final: Although it was impactful, the ending didn’t fully deliver what I expected. The way the love confession “I love you” was presented, followed by the “I won’t regret it” feeling, didn’t work well for me. It didn’t feel like a proper conclusion. The mangaka probably focused too much on drawing fanservice and missed some of these aspects.__ #____
CONCLUSION____
__I had fun, sometimes ı was moved, sometimes ı lauged. There's flaw, stiil aboard-avarage, good manga for me.__
#Top 3 Character
- 1) Natsuki - 2) Kouta - 3) Kanade #
Top 6 Chapter
- 1) CH18 7.8/10 - 2) CH24-25 7.6/10 - 3) CH8 7.5/10 - 4) CH1 7.5/10 - 5) CH14 7.3/10 - 6) CH12 7.2/10 #
Top 5 Moment
#
1

"Natsuki kissed Kouta 8/10
#
2

"Natsuki Thanks to Kouta for Took care." 7.9/10
#
3

"Kanade cry" 7.7/10
#
4

Natsuki's introduction 7.5/10
#
5

"Kouta is praised for first time" 7.2/10~~~
