67/100[edited] What items that you own would drop when you die?Continue on AniListA Review on Brains Base’s "Electromagnetic Girlfriend" //edit: this may not be that useful because i'm on my dumb era
//edit: i did a little refresh and changed some aspects here. How are you? Are you happy? Are you sad? Do you have a fever? Always remember to take care of yourself.
“Denpa-teki na Kanojo”, or in a more known title, “Electromagnetic Girlfriend”, is a 2009 OVA adapted from a novel of the same title. This work is animated by Brains Base, the studio known for Durarara!!, Baccano!, and the Natsume Yuujinchou Series. This film talks about the life of Juuzawa Juu in his high school life when he met a “delusional high-school girl that claimed that they were bonded in their past time.” For this review I’ll try to avoid spoilers.
STORY
Rating: 7.3/10
The most notable in the story is the lesson being portrayed, however, there are some aspects that do seem unrealistic. The writing of the story is honestly good too. As an anime of the mystery genre it did quite fine, however in the thriller aspects it doesn’t strike me the way I expected it to be. But on the bright side, I haven’t yawned, not even a single breath or a sign of sleepiness. The pacing seems to be both a combination of “fine” and “fast”.The story really does give of Paranoia Agent vibes, where some people die because “Shounen Bat” killed them.
Oh and also, that line on the picture above seems to be unforgettable to me.CHARACTERS
Rating: 6.5/10
Pretty decent characters, but they do seem the generic type. I didn’t like the antagonist to be honest. In fact maybe I /don’t/ understand her, probably because her philosophy is quite different.VISUALS
Rating: 6.5/10
I /kind of/ have issues here. Was this a low budget film? I do hope so. There are scenes where it’s two heads on the same frame but they’re not even close to each other. I think it’s common in the 2009 era, I don’t know. There’s also this visual issue and I can’t also remove it in my mind. That time where they’re at the train and when the wind blew her bangs flowed, appearing that she only has ONE eye, where in fact she has two. So, this maybe a low budget one (but I also don’t want to believe it because Baccano’s animation was great for its time.)AUDIO
Rating: 6/10
Sound effects sound weird, it’s like they’re auditorily blurred. Some parts sound empty at times but it’s tolerable. No song is memorable, but I don’t find that as issue.ENJOYMENT
Rating: 7.2/10
It was a good watch. The only thing that annoyed me is our damn internet connection that had to buffer at some point in my watching period. If you seem to enjoy this animation, give Paranoia Agent a shot.Overall Rating: 67%
Nothing to comment more. Everything I want to say is kind of summarized and is above the message.I’ll probably drop my knowledge when I die, idk.

75/100I thought to myself that it was going to be some kind of rushed romance or like a movie but boi was I wrong.Continue on AniListThis show caught my attention because of the cover picture looks so mysterious and just well interesting (I mean come on the umbrella is red…. RED!)
"The quickest way to achieve happiness is to avoid looking at reality." Very true. It's the quickest, and easiest way. But it's not the only way. I now know that one can have a reasonably happy life even in the bleakness of reality. Not that I have all the answers, or that there's one simple answer. For me, it's about allowing myself to feel good and being ok with letting myself enjoy things. Simple things even. Maybe things we take for granted in many cases. It's ok to be a little selfish. You have to be, because nobody but you is really going to be able to make you happy. Of course, it's also possible to be happy by staying in delusion. Many people pick this path. I try to avoid it though.
Denpa teki na Kanojo does an amazing job in my opinion on [sic] creating characters that can be psychologically manipulated (Namely, the antagonists.)
The character that does the manipulating- it's questionable how she does it, but with that aside - is very good at what she does, the writing is very smart.
Mainly in episode two, where the protagonist manipulates the antagonist by using the antagonist's mentality of reality as a measure to change the antagonist's perception of her own reality, instead of common law, or common sense that many shows try to force down the antagonist's throats. That was something I have not seen in a production, or at least so obviously pointed out, in such a way.
As the show points out very well, people who are psychotic, do not have common sense, or the same type of common sense that most people have (Obviously), but to understand enough one others psychology to the point of using it to manipulate, is not pointed out in productions like this very often.Happiness can be found in literally any situation, you just need to be willing to look for it and recognize it.
Having a purpose in life also is important. Some people focus so much on trying to be happy that they ironically become unhappy every time any little thing doesn't go their way. When you have a goal, it becomes less about worrying if you are having a good or bad day, but more anticipation about the next step in your mission, and if something does go wrong, how you are going to get over it. The other thing to realize is that being perpetually happy is just as bad as being perpetually sad. Humans thrive on variety. Adversity is the relative point that allows us to judge a happy moment as what it is.Living life little by little as I try to understand how life works. As complex as it is, so as I am, it may take a lifetime to understand. But regardless it is not pointless to pursue a near-impossible goal.

75/100An underrated anime that deserved a full seasonContinue on AniList__Story__ Before talking about the plot, let me be honest, I believe this anime deserves a full season. But they only made two 40 minute episodes. Between all the ecchi and Harem anime I watch every season this anime was a fresh show. If you don’t like psychological anime, this show isn’t for you. As a person who loves the psychological genre, I seriously enjoyed these two episodes! Anyways, let’s talk about the plot. This series was an ova; so each episode was about different mysterious situations. The main story is about a delinquent named Juu and a mysterious girl named Ame who approached him in a weird way. By weird I mean seriously weird. She called Juu his master and she believes she has to protect and serve him at all costs. Juu doesn’t like befriending people so he doesn’t want to do anything with her. In the first episode, we see a bunch of murders taking place. One night, one of his classmates got murdered and Juu decided to find the murderer. The second episode was about people destroying other people’s happiness to gain it themselves. I won’t spoil anything because two episodes isn't long enough for me to talk about. What I can say is that this anime is really interesting and I seriously loved all the plot twists! That's all well and good, but why do I believe this should classify as a horror anime? The first reason is the plot and murders happening. I didn’t include the gif of the murders because they could be a bit too hardcore. But I swear the murders and how crazy they were, weren’t any different from the horror genre animes I've watched. __Characters__ The second reason this anime deserves to be a horror anime is its characters. Ame, one of the main characters, is a perfect example. She was very mysterious and I enjoyed every second of her screen time. At first, I didn’t really like her, but later on, I started to adore her. She is smart and has the ability to solve mysteries. She thinks fast and knows how to use her brain. Ame's personality and characteristics make her perfect for a horror anime. Juu, another main character, got on my nerves a bit. He was one of those main characters that doesn’t do anything; but takes all the credit. He basically had no idea what’s going on and left everything to Ame. I wish he had more character development, but again two episodes isn't enough for any major change. Even though he wasn’t that good, he could still be used as a sacrifice in a horror anime! This anime had some amazing supportive characters, specially Ame’s friends. They were really helpful and there for her. They didn’t have enough screen time, but the moments that were focused on them we see how amazing they are. They will fit perfectly in a horror anime specially with their fighting skills and brave personality. The villains this anime had were really interesting. They were normal people who had been through a lot and as a psychological fan, I seriously enjoyed this aspect. The characters this anime had, except for Ame and her friends, were really realistic. __Art__ For a two episode ova series, the art looked stunning. I found the animation really smooth and I seriously liked how everything was animated. Character designs were amazing and the gore scenes were animated flawlessly. The gore scenes were so good that I even thought this anime is horror, but then I noticed it doesn’t have horror in its genre tag. The color pallet used in this anime was kinda bright; so that's the only thing that's not too fitting for a horror anime. __Soundtracks__ The voice acting was amazing; specially Ame. The OST, original sound track, were amazing as well. They fit the thriller and mysterious aspect of the anime perfectly. The episodes I watched didn’t have an opening, but they did had an ending. The ending was really relaxing and I can listen to it 24/7. It didn’t have a music video, but the music itself was just perfect! __Overall__ I seriously enjoyed this anime specially for it’s plot. I wish it had more episodes! This anime is suited to be a horror anime because of the perfect plot and the characters. The color pallet should be darker to be suited for horror anime, but other than that, even the art is suited for a decent horror anime. Anyways watch this anime! This anime is really underrated and needs way more attention!!
