When Cadis Etrama Di Raizel or Rai, as he is known, awakens after 820 years, he discovers a modern world he simply doesn't understand. Once an extremely powerful member of the Nobles, a race of nearly immortal and powerful creatures, Rai decides to start again as a high school student at Ye Ran High School, founded by his former servant Frankenstein, who is somehow still alive after all these centuries. Frankenstein’s goal—to help his powerful, vampire-like master learn about human life and culture as he protects him from the modern forces Rai cannot fathom.
Rai's somewhat peaceful new life is about to be disturbed by The Union, a secret organization interested in using his powers to further their own malicious goals.
When past clashes with present in this innovative take on familiar dark fantasy tropes, Rai must do everything in his power to ensure the Union doesn’t control his destiny, and that he can continue to integrate himself into this new, confusing modern world...

95/100My personal Summary, you can read it, It isn‘t a spoilerContinue on AniListThis is deliberately not a content rendering, much more I would like to give you some insights into my view of this manga, which emerged in 11 years. He is something for people with endurance. But what should not be surprising, you beavhtet that we talk about 544 episodes, which describes a complete fantasy world. Maybe this manga is in Europe today and I speak here as a German extremely current. Because the core is the question of the different cultures, here people, vampires and werewolves. Implemented in a cutting-edge, action-packed and humorous story, which takes its toll on the emotions and development of many characters. But many fights go through the course of action and are nevertheless used to describe characters. The story is not linear.
Really a great beginning, the chapter are short but this is ok for me. The drawing, with colors, are good and has an understatement, I like this stil. It dosn’t looks like the typical vampire story :) the vampire sleeped 280 years, (wow I think he need no sleep the next 2.000 years) bevor he awake again and now it is from time to time funny. How open a modern door, or how to use a pc... I think this little point make I to a really good story. Also when he was think about the big questions... what is in supp... lovley.
I am now at chapter 92, this ist the last chapter at Season 1 and I really like that the protagonist is very silent. It creates a very pleasant atmosphere, because through the many thoughts that one may pursue one is also so very familiar with the characters and can be translated into these well... important question: how to eat a banana? Lol..
142... Since I will not reveal anything more cool things. So from my point of view ... I think rs cool wearing the slle pink slippers, as one wonders if the draftsman had no other color or just a preference for it. Otherwise I still find it very nice to read suvh when the course of action is slowly becoming very typical of manga with very lively episodes.
Now I'm done with Episode 2 ... that's 155 follow that you have read until then. Now I can tell you that the manga meets my humor exactly. I like that the action has a certain irony. In the course of the story, one's own story is questioned with humor. really amusing and entertaining. the bad ones experiment with people the good do the same, so almost ... if 30g vegetables probably lead to better test results? Lol I like it
Season 3... you learn a lot about vampires. The author ponders what benefits and disadvantages have a short or long life. it is not the typical question of the meaning of life but more about how life would change if it were longer. Furthermore, I feel a bit reminiscent of Lanzelot, if you look at how the protagonist behaves like that. Unfortunately, one has to say that this hardly develops, but the rest of the characters. the leadership of evil reminds me a bit of neon evangelion ... if there was some inspiration there?
Season 4 ... What do you want to fight for, what would you die for? now our low-profile protagonist at 1 or 2 is a bit more talkative. Unbelievable he says 2 or 3 sentences, ok mostly only a few words. But at least. you can also understand him as slow in his actions. P.S: I miss the pink slippers ...
Season 5-6, I read both in one step... . Look into the past and see the future. I think that would be a good title. one learns a lot about the protagonist and his shadow. Since most of the characters have not lived at this time (we look back 820 or more years) you learn to use them, I'm not sure if they really are parents, grandparents. This also helps to better understand the clans of the vampires. Here it becomes clear that our hero is not invulnerable, or was. He tries to make sense of his life and discusses why he does not want to go back to his old life.
Otherwise, our protagonist is chatty as always, in retrospect, this is only partially different. But I was finally allowed to see the pink slippers again and notice that our protagonist has not yet told anyone how it works with the banana, very funny.Season 7... finally, we finally get to know a protagonist, albeit taciturn but comparatively talkative vampires. Already due, we also learn more about werewolves. The heart of a werewolf has been following us for some time, but now you get an insight into this culture.
The humor is not too short, there are real crises! Or how would you call a ruined kitchen? If you ask yourself how this could happen, I would say cooking tea is more than heating water. The last chapter ... now we come to the longest chapter which closes the circle of action. It is very battle-burdened, but now shows the character development of the protagonist, his life and the meaning he has given this. He breaks out of the old dockmen thanks to his friends.
I wish all those who have made it so far that they come to the end, because it's worth it. It is in my view the emotional climax and also a very successful ending. My conclusion is that this is a very good, great work that impresses with a clear action and a clear attitude. That asks a lot of questions about the behavior of people, about each other. I find it very appealing that these apeck well presented and subtly addressed without the action to stretch, or to be discussed superficially. He treats the action of people in particular as the dynamics in groups. I really enjoyed this manga and can only recommend it.

65/100Noblesse is a decent manhwa until the second half where everything just floppedContinue on AniListI picked up this manhwa a few months ago because a lot of my friends were raving on about this nonstop and I saw this being on the top 30 manhwas in MAL.
Noblesse is that manhwa where everybody hypes up to be the THING. But for me, it's just a shounen manhwa bordering between a 7 and an 8 on the first half and a 5 or a 6 in the second half.
I will admit, even if the art is a bit average to say the least(as far as Korean manhwas go), I can say it's slightly distinct against the cesspool of average works in the same genre.
The arcs go up and down(up, meaning slightly average, down meaning average as hell) and I had to will my horny on main self to keep reading it till the end for me to make some sort of opinion about it. It was a very arduous journey to self control from reading Tower of God for the umpteenth time.
Before we move on, I will preface by saying I actually enjoyed reading Noblesse, before it devolved into a painfully average piece of work. I like the way it delivers dry humor and the character designs were actually really good.
My biggest gripe about this manhwa is the fact that the dialogues are very tongue and cheek, a pain to read and are unnecessarily long. We readers don't need to hear their monologues for the millionth time. We get it, you love humans at the point of sacrificing yourself. The author only needs to put that in our face once.
I tested the waters and read 5 chapters without skipping or skimming any dialogues and my god I never would've thought to be more bored than having to survive a day on a blackout.
And it took me 1 hour to read it all.
But my efforts weren't wasted for nothing as I realized at that point that nobody needs to read all of these; they're the same thing repasted and the characters always repeat themselves. I would appreciate it more if the boring dialogues and expositions be paired with some visualization, like what Nisio isin did with the manga adaptation of bakemonogatari. This is awful writing on it's finest and it is disheartening that not many people noticed that. Might as well write a novel if the author wanted to and it wouldn't make any difference.
The second thing I noticed that the manhwa delivered awfully is the characters. We have raizel, the handsome Kuudere bae that I really wanted to like because of that quirky personality of his, but the execution of Raizel in the manhwa just fell flat the more I think about the character. Instead of making him this reserved and cool character, he's a one dimensional character that was eventually downgraded to a boring deus ex machina.
Frankenstein is a henchman of Raizel and I can't seem to grasp why he submitted himself to Raizel at first sight. A good reason for this is the fujoshi fanbase. I never realized I read a whole fujo bait piece of work without even realizing it.
Tae-soo's dynamic with Ken Kitano was way more believable than Frank's and Raizel, to be honest. Both dynamics are surface level, but there was way more character in the former the more we see them having a conversation. Whereas Raizel's speech bubble were mainly composed of trails of periods.
I don't need to go over all the characters because of how forgettable they are. The orange haired guy is basically beta -Itadori(from Jujutsu Kaisen). Apart from him, all others were very very forgettable.
The art quality is a gradually evolving thing you see in mangas where the artist uses his/her work to improve his/her skills because it is a weekly release. This in itself is a double edged sword because 1) One can appreciate that this artist wouldn't settle for less but 2) it's very hard, as a reader, to go back to that scene in the first chapters. That's kinda why I never would want to read the first 50 chapters of Tower of God regardless of how good the story is. The moment I see a butt ugly panel of Endorsi my Waifu, that's where I draw the line.
And then... There's the plot progression.
I already mentioned before that I preferred the first half(<chapter 250 and below) rather than the second half.
Here's why...
The way that the manhwa ended in a semi-cliffhanger didn't sit well with me. Not to mention, it ended in a flash and I was never given the chance to absorb what was going on. It's not a cliffhanger as much as it's an open ended one. The only resolution we get is the bad guy dying and that's it(I won't get to too much spoilers).
But that's not the only problem I had with the second half. I also mentioned before about the lame ass dialogue of the characters; they all happened on the second half. At that point, they were just spouting nonsense over and over again that those were the times when I repeatedly put this manhwa on hold.
Also forgot mention that on the second part, the manhwa took itself too seriously and there was no point on getting invested to anything: to the characters nor to the story. The comedy skits they used always do in the beginning were just thrown away and the first human character to appear in the first chapter (and his friends) were downgraded to mob characters until the last chapter.
Plotwise, I could not remember a single thing about the second half and I won't bother to remember it. The formulaic pattern I remembered was: bad guys appear and wreak havoc, good guys are notified, big battle commences, bad guys defeated. It was rinse and repeat until the last big battle and the finale flopped.
Whether or not you're willing to read it to the end, you're not missing much in the manhwa world. I'm not gonna stop you from reading Noblesse, but if you want a manhwa that structured its story and characters very well even in the long run, read tower of god. You won't regret it.

90/100It was a wonderful journey, it was really good while it lasted and I found myself enjoying this more than I expected.Continue on AniListTo start off, I'll say that this was my first time reading a really long manhwa (ofc, I know there are longer ones xD) and I think it's proof enough that I'm not really experienced enough to give a full fledged, in depth analysis of the manhwa. So pardon me if I make any mistakes. There will be spoilers ahead as well, because like I said I'm not really experienced in writing reviews and I don't think I'm good enough to express myself without giving out spoilers. So sorry about that ;). Skip through the first paragraph, as it's just me rambling about how I got to know about this xD.
I came to know of this manhwa through the anime, which was released last year, iirc. I didn't watch it, but the title and the art I saw intrigued me and I thought I should give it a try. Then I came across reviews saying that adaptation was bad, and you're better off reading the source material. When I found it, I was really intrigued by the cover, which was a picture of Raizel. I, being the procrastinator I was, didn't start it xD. But after some time I wounded up coming back to this. From then onwards it was a different thing altogether.
I started off slowly, taking my own time and enjoying this. But soon I realised I couldn't keep myself from reading further. So as you can see, it was pretty interesting. And the hype was slowly building up for me. In the early chapters I found some fight scenes so epic that I was really enthralled by it. There were some dope af fight scenes, the fight with Jake was really cool, and I could almost picture the scenario in my mind. But this wasn't all. This hype just got bigger and bigger as the chapters progressed. The fight with Da-5 was also really nice. But this was just a teaser to what's about to come. Rael vs. Frankenstein, Rai vs. Raskrea, Rai and Frank vs Urokai and Zarga, the fight against Ragus, it did keep me on my toes. I think I may have forgotten about a few important ones xD, sorry about that, but I'm trying to recollect all those which stayed in my mind for the longest. The fights weren't the only thing though, the comedic scenes were pretty nice (well I'm not exactly sure if my tastes are bad, or if it was really good xD). And Rai was definitely a great character. Atleast for me. He was this really sad man, who lost everything he had, everyone that was beside him.. his followers, his friends. He really made sure that he cherished whatever he got in this, what he could call, a new life. About Frankenstein, I'd say he was one of the characters in this story with that level of drip. A very well mannered, dutiful chairman one on side and a really freaky berserker devoted to his master. His terrified and flabbergasted face was really funny no cap (Now, I may seem a bit childish when I say all this, but let me be xD). These aren't the only characters worth mentioning though. Rael and Regis, I believe went through a great deal of development, with the latter having significantly more in my opinion. M-21 too, was one character whom we wouldn't be able to ignore.
But there was a problem that I encountered as I began to get closer to the end. I felt like, everywhere Rai or Frank was needed in order to finish a battle, I understand that RK wasn't strong enough, but it was a bit, repetitive. Not like I didn't enjoy Frank going berserk mode, but I would have preferred if RK could have a good amount of time in the limelight. But there were some moments when RK was really good and I'm not complaining, but I would have liked a bit more. Also there were a few characters whom I felt was, a bit unused? Compared to other side characters that is. The ending too, was a bit open I guess? We don't know if he Rai and Muzaka actually survived or if it was a figment of their imagination. The reason for me to think like that being Frankenstein's last line.
Overall, I liked it a lot, and it was a really good read. I would definitely like to recommend it to someone as, it did have a lot of moments which I really appreciated.
