DESCRIPTION

Based on a Chinese web comedy manga.

Shi Miao simply cannot stand her lazy, stupid, and unreliable elder brother Shi Fen, who is one year above her at the same high school. Though the two siblings can only depend on each other, Shi Miao's violent tendencies combined with Shi Fen's knack for causing trouble cause them to fight constantly. And so, Shi Miao can only hope that someone might take her brother away—even though, when push comes to shove, Shi Fen always tries to do what he believes is best for his cute younger sister.

Note: Airing dates reflect the original airing and premiere dates in China, where it aired earlier than it did in Japan.

Tipically the kind of anime to watch in the morning while eating breakfast!
__Ani ni Tsukeru Kusuri wa Nai!__

We follow the story of Shin Mao, a young sporty girl pretty violent with her big brother Shin Fen who is a lover of food.
Basically it's a show about sibling and their everyday life in highschool.
Did I totaly enjoyed it? Yes absolutely.

These short stories are very fun.
Each episode lasts about 4 minutes and less and since I have trouble with long slice of life because I think most slices of life have stories that evolve very slowly, this format is pefect for me.
Most jokes worked on me. (Probably beacause I have siblings though.) When I started this series, I did not expect to laugh as much as I did with my little sister
_She said one bite uh..._ It's simple and yet it makes you laugh, tipically the kind of anime to watch in the morning while eating breakfast. This anime reminded me of cartoons that I watched as child : simple, childish, direct In this kind of story we can summarize the characters in a single line but there is no harm on the contrary, we get attached on the two siblings from the first episode. In others words: the simplicity of this series is what makes it fun. Also the animation brings a plus: as you can see it's very fluid and cute at the same time. The animation focuses more on the characters themselves than on the background but we can ignore this, after all, the story focuses itself on the characters themselves. The music is not there to really pay attention, it's used in the simplest way but you can notice that the opening is quite catchy despite its short duration. This first season has been a success for me and I have already begun to follow the second. Finally, there is little to say about this anime (I can hardly fulfill the condition of 2200 words haha) just that if you like silly jokes and seing a little sister bullying her big-bro make you laugh, I'm sure you'll enjoy it just as much as I did. This anime deserves a good rating and was a very good experience for me!

Nice, fresh and fast.
Coming out of the pencil of the twins You.Ling, 快把我哥带走 or Take my brother away is the animated adaptation (with different entities involved) of a famous ongoing and hilarious web manhua that greatly reproduces the structure of what in Japan is the 4-koma, 4 funny panels that end with a joke.

Our twins, do not use four panels but a few more to tell the story of Shi Fen (時分) and Shi Miao (時秒), brother and sister extremely different.

Generally, the adaptations from the 4-koma are complex to be managed especially if they go to base themselves on fast jokes. Luckily for this short anime (just under four minutes per episode, including the intro and outro), we have Rarecho (ラレコ) charismatic director behind the iconic Aggretsuko.
His direction is brilliant and fast, does not let breath and makes every moment lovable.

Shi Miao with her endless energy - a gorilla according to - his brother Shi Fen skilled opportunist and useless human (and to what seems not even an intelligent one!) live their daily lives and shenanigans surrounded by friends.

I've seen both dub versions, both Chinese and Japanese.

To be honest, I found the whole Chinese version superior to the Japanese one, even for cultural references. I noted for example that the Japanese version in some passages changed the dialogues by eliminating things that were not maybe suitable for their audience.

An interesting example is the episode of the "Grand Buffet".
In that episode couples (we are on Valentine's Day) have a huge discount for a restaurant's buffet, Shi Fen then tries to convince her sister to pretend to be a couple in order to spare.

Shi Fen: "What is more important moral integrity or buffet?"
Shi Miao: "Moral integrity."

The Japanese, for example, have changed "Moral integrity" to "Pride", but the bulk of the change is when Shi Miao refuses by telling to her brother:
"Go with your right hand to the buffet", an obviously sexual joke that in the Japanese version becomes "Go with someone else".

There are also references to Chinese socialism sometimes that were cut in the Japanese version.

Chinese dub also works as tone and rhythm and personally, I found it better (it must also be said that I study Chinese Mandarin thus I am accustomed to the language).

Speaking of language, finally, I want to mention that the donghua is also available with subtitles in simplified Chinese and given the paucity of dialogues it can be a great way for those who are studying the language to practice reading ideograms.

Ultimately an excellent product currently in its fifth season, and the You.Ling sisters prove to be absolute masters (I strongly recommend reading their suspense Manhuas - they are incredible).
