Sakamoto Days Anime's Video Unveils Opening Song, January 11 Debut, 2-Part Run
The official website for the television anime of Yuuto Suzuki's Sakamoto Days manga unveiled the main promotional video and key visual for the anime on Wednesday. The video reveals and previews the anime's opening theme song "Hashire Sakamoto" (Run, Sakamoto), written specifically for the anime by singer-songwriter Vaundy. It also announces the anime's January 11 television premiere in Japan, and also reveals that the anime will run for two cours (quarters of a year), with the second cours premiering in July 2025.While the anime will premiere on TV Tokyo and affiliated channels on January 11, the anime's website does not list its accompanying Netflix streaming with the same premiere date. only listing the previously announced January 2025 debut for Netflix.Masaki Watanabe (KADO - The Right Answer, Bartender, several Battle Spirits anime) is directing the anime at TMS Entertainment. Shueisha published the 17th compiled book volume on June 4, and will release the 18th volume on August 2.
