Opposites attract in this new high school yuri manga!
Fujishiro Nanaki is super cute, super popular, and super annoyed with anyone as plain as her classmate Kurokawa Kanade. When Nanaki finds out her boyfriend’s cheating on her, however, her life makes a complete 180—as does her relationship with Kanade. This all-new yuri manga series explores the budding romance between the cool girl in school and the “plain” girl she once brushed off!

This review is just my opinion on things (probably controversial)Plot: 8/10
I liked the plot quite a bit. The first 3 volumes made me think that it was going to be a slow-burn kind of yuri manga. However, the final 3 kinda kicked things into high gear. I do appreciate the slow-burn, it was just a lot to read with no action in the near future. The first book put a lot of preparation into it and started the whole thing. The second book develops the relationship (between the MCs) a good amount. However, during the times before and during Izumi’s confession arc and Iroha’s introduction to the series, their relationship kinda slows down (in retrospect, I guess it was just to emphasize the importance of Izumi’s feelings and relationship with Fujishiro).MC(s): Mid, 7/10
The MCs weren’t not not the best. The inferiority complex that Kurokawa has in Volume 6 was kinda annoying. I guess it made sense for the most part but why? Another thing that is goofy about this manga is how oblivious the characters are. Like, were you the last one to notice that she liked you?? So many times no one notices. There are some good things about this manga though. One thing that I liked was the change in Kurokawa’s character. She was definitely bland before but she is much better now (that's the point, stupid).Supporting Character(s): Actually better than the MCs, 7.6/10
I didn’t really like any of the (supporting) characters. Izumi’s love was questionable to say the least. Perhaps it's how she says that she doesn’t like Fujishiro “in that way” but I generally like to believe characters whose thoughts I can’t hear (except for obvious cues of lying). Iroha was a nice addition. However, I feel that she didn’t really add her own character and charm to the story. I think that she was just added to help Fujishiro recognize her love for Kurokawa. I did like her falling for Izumi. It added an extra element of charm to the story.Ending: Nice. 6.8/10
The ending was sweet, it reminded me of Doughnuts Under The Crescent Moon. I didn’t understand why Kurokawa had to take a day to consider it though. It was pretty obvious that Kurokawa had already (basically) fallen for Fujishiro since book 2. Maybe it was just the admiration. I’m sure she had already liked Fujishiro from the beginning. Conclusion & Parting Thoughts:
This series was pretty good. I liked how each character got their happy ending (except Miki). Man, I hate Miki. Maho wasn’t bad but she is literally all over Miki. I suggest reading Volume 6.5. It was definitely good (mostly because I like bonus comics).I wonder if Maho and Miki will get together.
Thanks for reading all the way!!
This was a terrible review, I think…
