DESCRIPTION
The pathfinder searches for the "path" that grants wishes. It's great that Garam, an ordinary student leaves the world with impulsive thoughts but,
When she comes back, the world became a ghost town where all the people and animals have disappeared.
To find her family and have the world back the way it was, she must find a “path”
You could be swept away by an avalanche in the mountains, Deep seas where it is difficult to breath, hellish labyrinths, and more.
This is a series of hardships to find the paths that are in dangerous places.

20/100Squandered OpportunityContinue on AniListWhat a waste of my time if i do say so myself. At first i was intrigued, as this was a female led story that wasnt a romance/historical fantasy manhwa, but instead one that seemed to want to straddle the line between action manhwa and josei manhwa. But god was i disappointed. MC had basically no character development spread over 60 chapters, except at the very end (which was then portrayed as a negative on her character instead of positive development). The attempts at a more nuanced morality in an isekai world ended up as the MC getting tricked at least once every arc, while progressing in her quest had very little to do with her own intuition and skill. She completed lacked agency in the story, lucking her way in and out of literally every situation instead of actually accomplishing anything. And then the ending...my god. What an awful, non-climactic way to axe the series. Every part of this comic fails to be a good story with good characters. Only the worldbuilding holds up as alright, but a good world cannot make up for a mediocre reading experience.
Im finding it hard to fill the word limit as there literally isnt anything else to say. This manhwa fumbles at every single step it could take, the only reason people think its good is that it falls upwards and appears to be a good manhwa to those conditioned by the absolute state of generic action storytelling in manhwa these days. And i think that's what makes it hurt the most, the fact we finally got a manhwa with an actually unique premise and very creative elements to work with, far better than if they just went "oops you're in a fantasy world now, here's a system, enjoy being op". And they squandered the opportunity due to lack of creativity and competency.
God, i can just imagine what they could have done with the setting. Imagine if MC had to interact with other pathfinders in the setting in a realistic way, instead of meeting a generic arrogant pretty boy bad guy. Imagine what she could have done with access to her world's resources, instead of being scammed by a shop owner and for some reason becoming rich after selling a bunch of junk. Imagine her ability to, well, pathfind using her resources, skills and character traits instead of getting into stupid situations which she only gets out of because she gets rescued.
I would say I was looking forward to the remaining two-thirds of the story if only to see how it takes a good foundation and fucks up the rest of the story up too, but I doubt the fundamental flaws were really going to get fixed. The author just doesn't seem capable of making the story either dynamic, interesting, dramatic or fun to read. 2/10, the only good thing that came out of this manhwa was that it was fun imagining what competent character would have done in MC's situation.
