The best entry in the Taimanin Asagi franchise so far
This is not the "Dark Knight" that I thought I would be reviewing.

The have been monsters secretly appearing all through Tokyo. Our main hero, Hell Knight Ingrid, has revealed the betrayal of the diabolic doctor, Sabato Kuryuu, who has joined the dark group, Kanomado. She finds herself chasing after him, but he has somehow managed to escape and get the drop on her in a church, and soon becomes his captive. Kiryuu tries to break Ingrid's mind and will through torture, in hopes of luring her boss, the vampire Edwin Black, into coming to save her. These torture methods include a group of monsters working with Kiryuu, who force themselves onto Ingrid.

This time around, the whole hentai has more of a moody atmosphere going on, resulting in something that is slower paced that takes it's time both with the plot and the sex scenes. Too bad that the series finally got to something watchable on the fourth entry that I happened to review. If you just want to skip the plot and just watch the hentai for it's intended purpose, there are plenty of good sex scenes throughout this hentai.

The character designs are really good, which is par for the course for this series. And to top if all off, the animation is actually pretty decent. So far, it's not only the most watchable in terms of entertainment and quality, it's literally the most watchable in terms of not causing a migraine. I swear that is the last time that I'll mention the aneurysm inducing flashing lights and somehow dodgy camera work of the original. I'm getting just as sick of it as you are at this point.

There is even a 15 minute bonus episode that came out 8 years later called "Makai Kishi Ingrid: Re - Mesu Buta Dorei ni Ochita Makai Kishi". It's pretty much more of the same, so I can't really complain too much.

Would I recommend Makai Kishi Ingrid (AKA The Dark Knight Ingrid)? Yes. It has all of the pros of Taimanin Asagi, with a story that doesn't feel rushed and good character designs, and none of the negatives, and I hate to keep repeating myself here, the eye blistering flashing lights and awful camera effects. At least it's more fun that both Taimanin Asagi 2 and 3. It's the first anime in the franchise that I actually can say that I liked.
