  At the time of adding this to my list, Aki Sora has an average rating of 54% which completely baffles me. This is a quality hentai however I understand the sentiment of individuals who feel cheated or deceived by the tag as even I hesitate to call it hentai despite my high rating of it. Based on a popular eromanga of the same name, Aki Sora serves as an introduction to the franchise as a one-off special adapting the first chapter of the long running manga. The reason I say many may feel deceived calling it 'hentai' is because in today's anime landscape where there is at least one show a season challenging the line between hentai and anime Aki Sora falls quite clearly in the 'anime' side of the line so for those looking for quick wank material they'll be left sorely disappointed. However, for those looking for erotic material with actual substance Aki Sora is up your alley.

  Likening this work to recent hit anime of similar concept such as Kuzu no Honkai or Domestic na Kanojo, Aki Sora follows a similar taboo filled story like a mash up of the two series mentioned before with aspects of incest as well as one-sided yuri affection. This one episode cannot cover the nuances of the entire series however being able to establish and evolve multiple relationships in a 20~ish minute runtime in itself is impressive. Certainly after watching this episode, I was sold on the type of character building the author was committed to while keeping the viewer enticed by the teasing sexual scenes we've become all to accustomed to recently which are still satisfying in their own right. What is most impressive which separates this series from its contemporaries which it may be lumped into is that like popular new series is that these scenes do not simply serve as fanservice, however they also progress the story or bring to light emotions of different characters which have been subtly boiling beneath the surface.

  For being a one-off of a much larger series, this adaptation was not seen as simply an ad for the manga as displayed in the work seen put into the art. Well drawn characters keeping in-line with the manga designs with vibrant backdrops, this won't be your typical hentai watching experience. Characters are animated professionally and a mix of camera angles keeps each scene interesting. Although not much more can be said, at the very least a decent sum of money was allocated to the studio producing this work to create work that any semi-large studio in the anime landscape would be capable of creating.

  This show blew me away with the amount of detail put into it, including the sound design. Every environment had detailed backgrounds but more than that, the ambient sounds brought scenes to life and became essential to scenes reflecting or enhancing the emotions the characters were showing.

  Not giving much away, I did enjoy the characters however to really get to know them you would have to continue reading the manga. As mentioned before so much is packed into this one episode that sets the tone for the series going forward showing us different sides of each character and preparing the viewer for much more which sadly can only be continued through the manga.

  I believe Aki Sora achieved what it set out to do in promoting the manga. It has great production value with characters pushing societal taboo boundaries while testing the line between hentai and anime as well. The genre of incest/yuri is even more significant today than when it was released back in the day and it would probably be a hit if released this year. Viewer beware that this is not really hentai, so nothing below the waist is really shown however if you're looking for an appetizer for your main course this is the way to go

  This is a fantastic anime that is truly magical and a roller coaster of emotions.

  Aki-Sora is a quality anime with a lot of plot development in just 1 episode. The way they made the love arc adds a lot of detail to this never ending story. The way the characters are drawn adds a nice warm feel to the whole experience adding a sense of ease with how smooth the lines are and how sharp the corners are really making this feel like a true romance. The animations are very smooth when Aki is jerking off Sora the animation of Sora ejaculating is very smooth and when the camera cuts to the floor and seeing the cum drip over the camera to reveal a new seen is very poetic. The characters are desperately trying to love each other even tho Sora knows its wrong but still finds a sense of love in Aki but desperately tries to repress his feelings. The amount of care and attention given to the character development in only 1 episode is astonishing, they managed to make 2 characters have such a deep and undying love that it really resonated in me making me really think that these characters truly care for each other. When Sora runs away after Aki jerks him off it really shows that he is scared of what they will become and what others will think of there relationship. Then when Sora hides in the gym closet from Aki and stays there for so long he gets locked in, then Aki coming to bust the lock open and let him out confessing her love for him is truly emotion but then Sora denying it but as Aki starts to walk away Sora comes to his senses and runs to Aki embracing her confessing his love and giving her a sweet kiss. The next part i can only describe and true art. When they finally arrive home they start having passionate sex, Aki saying in very great detail how much she cares about Sora and wants him. She then proceeds to lick him in very sexual manors touching him and doing her best to make him feel truly loved. Sora then proceeds to penetrate Aki's vaginal regions and makes sweet love to her. it begin both of there first times they are both very timid but after only a few minutes Aki asks Sona to ejaculate inside her vaginal cavity which only makes this scene ever more passionate. After Sona busts his load inside of Aki they both spend the night cuddling together making their love seem ever more true to heart. Thing along with all the dialog happening during this seen makes it ever better truly making this anime truly great in the love genre. For an anime that has been out for over a decade old it is truly shocking that i have not heard about it till now. I would definitely recommend this anime to anyone that is looking for a short and sweet anime where the characters are portrayed as truly loving each other for who they are and nothing else. There is truly nothing that is stopping theses characters but themselves there own personal morals drive them apart but also bring them together in a living way. It is truly a piece of art drawn together to make a story like nothing else. People should really give it a shot even tho it is a little dated, because trust me it will be worth your time.
