20/100This anime fails to deliver on almost every aspect.Continue on AniListStoryline:
The story kicks off with a girl who is suddenly summoned to another world. She meets a rabbit who casually informs her that she is a princess tasked with waking up other princes. She immediately casts a spell to awaken the first prince without any real emotional reaction, which felt so rushed and unrealistic. She accepts the situation without any hesitation or questioning, which makes it hard to relate to her character. As the story progresses, she teams up with the first prince and the rabbit to find other princes, but this part of the plot feels muddled and repetitive. There's no real explanation as to why there are so many princes, and the entire premise feels poorly thought out. The plot doesn't offer much excitement or depth, and it all comes across as very underwhelming. Overall, the storyline is a simple 2/10.
Characters:
Main Heroine: The heroine is literally named "Heroine," which might be a joke ( I WISH IT WAS ) , but it doesn't help her lack of depth. She has no personality, and her reaction to being thrown into a strange new world is oddly calm, she doesn't care at all, she accepts everything too easily and doesn’t seem to be invested in her mission or the world around her. It’s hard to connect with a character who doesn’t react emotionally or show any growth. She just feels like a placeholder. This leads to her score of 1/10.
Avi (First Prince): Avi is the first prince the heroine wakes up, and while he does have a personality, it’s one that quickly becomes frustrating. He’s perpetually angry and moody, yet he acts overly nice around the heroine because she’s a princess???? Their relationship doesn’t feel genuine at all, there’s no real chemistry or emotional connection between them. He’s just another character who feels like he’s there because the plot needs him ( the plot also does not need him ), not because he adds anything of value. His character gets a 2/10 for being both one dimensional and irritating.
Kihel: Kihel is probably the most interesting character, though that’s not saying much. He starts off as a thief who sells stolen goods but eventually becomes more likable as his backstory is revealed. He’s the only character with any real development, and while that’s a bit of a relief, it still doesn’t do enough to save the show. He’s the one character who feels the most grounded and relatable, but even so his character still only rates a 3/10.
Other Characters: There are several other characters introduced throughout the series, but most of them are so forgettable and underdeveloped that they might as well not exist. They don’t contribute to the plot in any meaningful way and just add to the overall mess of the show.
World-Building:
For an isekai anime, the world-building is severely lacking. The world itself feels empty and uninspired. There are dungeons that look poorly designed and generic and the castles they visit are nothing special. The environments don’t feel alive or dynamic and the whole world feels like it was thrown together without much thought ( which I am sure it was the case ). The characters travel through forests, dungeons and castles but none of these places evoke any sense of wonder or excitement. It’s disappointing to see an isekai anime fail to create an engaging and immersive world, which is a huge part of the appeal for this genre. World-building earns a 2/10 for being bland and forgettable.
Character Development:
Character development is practically nonexistent in this series. Kihel has the only real development, but even that is minimal. The heroine doesn’t grow or change throughout the show, and neither do the princes. There’s no emotional journey or character arc to follow, which makes it hard to care about anyone. Since character growth is a major part of what makes stories engaging, the lack of it here is a major flaw. This category gets a 2/10, as the development is barely there and certainly not good.
OST (Original Soundtrack):
The music in this anime is pretty forgettable. The soundtrack doesn’t leave much of an impression and feels very generic. The music is neither memorable nor emotionally impactful, which is disappointing considering how important music can be in setting the tone. Score: 2/10.
Character Design:
The character designs are incredibly bland, and in some cases it’s hard to tell characters apart because they look so similar. This is a problem especially when you have a large cast of characters that you’re supposed to care about or at least recognize. There’s no standout visual style or memorable design among the characters. It’s a visual mess, which only adds to the overall unremarkable feel of the show. Score: 2/10.
Plot:
The plot itself is extremely dull. The only semi interesting part is Kihel’s backstory, but even that is far from good. We learn that Kihel’s brother dies protecting him, but this plot point feels forced and doesn’t really hit emotionally. It doesn’t provide any significant depth to the story and feels like an afterthought. The rest of the plot is just a series of unexciting events that don’t lead to anything meaningful. The lack of excitement makes the plot fall flat, and it gets a 2/10 for being forgettable and uninspired.
Overall Score: 2/10
This anime fails to deliver on almost every aspect. The characters are one dimensional, the world building is underwhelming, and the plot is not there. Even the music and character design are forgettable. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a good isekai or even an engaging story in general.
