At the end, plot was awful. Beginning plot was good, art okay. Both later getting better. Good ending.
Just completed reading "8th Circle Mage Reborn", and it was a PAIN, but last chapter smoothed it a bit.
_Writing review, instead of studying, don't do it to yourself kids. I'm too far gone._
At first "8th Circle Mage Reborn", or "The Rebirth of an 8th-Circled Mage", was a nice, well thought out story, with a clever main character, who got betrayed -
(soft spoiler: ) accused of treachery against the kingdom, which he and his companions founded, by the only son and successor of the first king, and got killed unlawfully for it. Hence the revenge plot against nobles. Kinda OP character, and so on, and so on. I liked it a lot (welp, I'm escaping the real world, to a imagined perfect one).
After the art changed though..... I didn't notice it! Since it was getting better and better, and at some point, it evolved, I couldn't even spot it! But don't get me wrong, it is not that the art changing, is nothing much, because if you compare first chapters, with last ones - man, it ain't the same manga! From comics-like art, through improving graphics, to a REAL GOOD VISUALS! Someone pointed it in comments that it changed, and only then I went back few mouse scrolls, and picked it up! Story had me so good I didn't paid attention to pictures getting better! Then went back like ~10 chapters for a sec, and it was still there, damn! (I think artists changed, but couldn't find certain info on it.)

BUT! And a really big "BUT":

At the end, as in the title of the review, it all went down - something like ~35 last chapters, felt rushed as never. At first only a little, but more and more, as time went by. Story was confusing, progressing in different strange ways, the main character seemed like he somehow lost his intelligence and wisdom from his first life...
(strong spoiler, not recommended if you haven't read the story: ) Starting from chimera plot which was mediocre... few chapters later - DIVINITY PLOT? BECAME A GOD? Killed his opponent and his supportive god in one strike... and kinda an end of the revenge plot? We get to know, that he lied to himself about revenge, and only wanted for the people to live better or something like that? At this point I lost it, it was a total MESS, I didn't enjoy it. Just as someone wrote in the comments - art was the only thing carrying it, to the end.

But last chapters delivered! It was a bliss, a nice summary, and, for some, wholesome pictures of characters, although personally, I didn't quite like it.
Oh, by the way, I recommend not reading the comments (depends where tho), there might be some douchebags, and you may ruin your day unknowingly.
