DESCRIPTION

Having just moved into a new apartment building, Yui Hanasaka makes a customary visit to greet her neighbor. When she learns that he is an upperclassman at the university she aspires to attend, she asks for his help to pass her entrance exams. Meanwhile, Natsuki Momohara decides to visit her older brother, who lives alone in an apartment in Tokyo. Elsewhere, aspiring singer Moka Aoshima reunites with her childhood friend, who is a hopeful novelist.

Three stories, although seemingly unrelated, contain the same essence: strings of fate will bind together those who share the same destiny, and one needs to look no further than a single apartment room.

The most off putting Anime. It felt so wrong watching it.

This will be a much shorter review. Not much in the show to talk about.

[PREMISE OF THE SHOW:]()
The whole concept of the show is to encapsulate the feel of a Dating Visual Novel in a TV series. Already a red flag.
If you ever played any kind of VN you know that they work because you can actually see what you are saying (or even hear sometimes). You have control over the actions and the flow.

Here we can't really do that, the characters spew some "romantic" nonsense at us and we just have to sit in silence because we want to say isn't whats in the script.

There are 3 mains and three stories attached to them.

Hanasaka is a Uni Student who struggles with revision. You the gentleman you are help her. Things get spicy between you, quite cliche if you ask me but hey, we are talking about a show where Anime girls look at you for 99% of the time waiting for you to respond.

Natsuki is your younger sister who decides to live with you for few days. She is basically the maid, she cleans your household cause you know every Harem Main can't clean their house. I am not a huge fan of things like this so watching this "arc" was terror for me.

Aoshima Moka is your childhood friend. She wants to make music and you support her decisions in life, not much to say. There are some arguments and/or disputes. Again quite cliche, which appears to be a trend in this short xd

All these characters just feel, wrong. The stares, the silence, and the cliches. Too much for me man, but if you feel like this is your kink go ahead my dude.

[ART/ANIMATION:]()
The animation is not bad, its smooth and fluid. I mean most of the show was just stares while waiting for your response soooo...
The art style, although really bright, is quite dandy. I would totally watch a show with this colour scheme and art style. so no complaints here my dudes.

[MUSIC:]()
The show only has EDs, three - one for each character. The first two sound... quite generic if you ask me, especially the first one. The last one is quite decent though, it had that kick in it that made it stand out.

[OVERALL OPINION:]()
I probably made this clear but, I am not a huge fan of this show. Its supposed to be like a VN and make the viewer feel more included, but it failed quite badly. Even if this show was created purely for Fan service its bad, all of this is so generic.

I have no clue what to do with my life anymore.

A penetrating anime that's more relevant now than ever.
Today is Valentine's Day so I decided to watch One Room. There are three girls in the show: Yui Hanasaka, Natsuki Momohara, and Moka Aoshima. The point of the show is that these girls all slowly fall in love with and go on dates with me. In this review I will describe each girl and talk about how they made me feel.

Yui Hanasaka

The first girl is Yui Hanasaka. She's a bit shy, but she's very cute and sweet and does not let her shyness keep her from chasing her dreams.

The first time I met her was when she introduced herself after moving next door. I was very excited when I first saw her through my door's peephole. I have been alone for a long time and have not talked to many girls before, so I thought I was going to be alone on this Valentine's Day. You can imagine the surprise on my face when she showed up!

She brought a gift, which was very thoughtful. She was clearly shy, but still managed to introduce herself well. I learned that she was a high school student who was studying hard to get accepted into a college in Tokyo. I wished her luck, and after our meeting, thought about her for the rest of the day.

The next day, I bumped into her while I was walking home. We talked some more and it turned out the university I was attending was her top pick. I was surprised as well, and asked her what her grades were. She turned a bit embarrassed and explained that she was never able to score an A on any of the practice tests, then asked if I would help her study. After seeing this face, how could I refuse?

Later, she went to my apartment and we studied together. The material was a bit challenging, but I was able to help her understand a lot of things and we both had a great time. We ended up studying together for hours!

That night, the water went out in our apartments which meant the baths stopped working. She was a bit embarrassed, but asked if she could go to the public baths with me. It was very fun!

We studied together a bunch after that. One day she decided to show her gratitude by cooking for me in my apartment. She's a great chef and I enjoyed her food a lot. I wish I could live with her every day.

She also discovered some secrets about me that were a bit embarrassing...

Finally, the day of the college exams arrived. I gave her a charm for good luck. I will never forget the look on her face when she took it.

I won't spoil the results of the tests. But it turns out she had a secret reason for wanting to attend this university, and if you're me, you're in for a treat!

Natsuki Momohara

The second girl is Natsuki Momohara. She is very cute, but she is my sister.

Moka Aoshima

The third girl is Moka Aoshima. She is very cute and very forward. She is also a childhood friend. We've actually known each other for years, but lost touch for a while until One Room reunited us.

Her dream has always been to become a musician. When we were younger, we made a promise. Once she made it big as a musician, I would write a novel about her. It must have been fate that our first reunion happened while she was playing the piano and singing on the street.

When I saw her, we sat together on a nearby bench and caught up. It turns out she hadn't had much success lately and was a bit embarrassed about it. I told her she's great and that if she kept chasing her dreams, she'd be sure to succeed!

She thanked me by inviting me to her room.

She had some self esteem issues, but I would always cheer her up. For that reason, she invited me to her room multiple times afterwards.

In the end, she gave up on her dream but I felt guilty so I wrote her a novel anyway.

All in all, this is a great anime and I'd recommend it to anyone who's interested in my life.

An emotional rollercoaster. One room brings you all kinds of feelings.
One Room is a masterpiece.
Let's start talking about each arc and it's characteristics.
The first arc features Hanasaka Yui as the heroine.

Yui is a young girl who is trying to get into college but has trouble studying, therefore she asks the protagonist for help, and this is where the story begins. This arc brings us 4 episodes full of emotions, with the development of the story, we can experience feelings such as happiness, sadness, anxiety, peace, and finally, love. Yui's very strong personality is what makes her such a captivating character, she is clear about her feelings and we can always sense that she is trying her best to achieve her goal.

Overall, I would rate this arc 6/10

Next, let us move up to the second arc.
The second arc features Momohara Natsuki as the heroine.

Natsuki is the protagonist's younger sister and is a character with a "tsundere" personality, which brings a lot of comedy into this arc.
The story begins when Natsuki decides that she will live in the protagonist's house, in Tokyo, for a couple weeks in order to help him with his new, working life.
There is something special about this arc that I would like to mention, it is that in the ending of each episode, Natsuki writes one of the "Natsuki rules for living" based in the events that ocurred in that episode.
Disclaimer: This arc has a lot of feet.

Overall, I would rate this arc 7/10

Now, into the third and last arc.
The final arc features Aoshima Moka as heroine.

Moka is an aspirant musician who makes public concerts in the streets and fights to achieve her dream of becoming a sucessful musician.
This arc is the most emotional one for me, because the heroine and the protagonist are childhood friends and they are both going through hard times in order to achieve their dreams, and this is the factor that brings them back together and also what makes this arc so special, I honestly could not avoid crying in the last episode.

Overall, I would rate this arc 9/10

In order to end this review, I would like to talk a little bit about my personal experience and enjoyment.
Each episode whas simply great, I could sense the characters discovering new emotions and growing affection for each other. Something that happened often is that I would pause the episodes to in order not to cry. I am writing this review right after finishing the show, and to be sincere, my eyes are still puffed.
